Q-PAH FAQ

Answers to all your frequently asked questions

Do I have to become a member to attend events?

No. Non-members can attend any event, which is great if you are new to the scene, or only want to attend a couple of events on the calendar. However, one of the benefits of membership is discounted ticket pricing for all events.

Is Q-PAH gender-inclusive?

Yes. Q-PAH is an all-inclusive club that welcomes all expressions of sexuality and gender.

I am not a pup or a Handler - is Q-PAH still for me?

Q-PAH is a club for all. While the club’s mission and objectives relate specifically to pup and Handler play, all pet players and trainers and welcome to join and get involved. Allies and fans of the pup and Handler community who aren’t necessarily players themselves are also welcome. As long as you can navigate the community respectfully, you are welcome in our spaces.

I am not on the Committee, can I still help the club?

Yes, you sure can. Being of service is great, and you don’t have to be on the Committee to get more involved with helping the club meet its objectives. We have a pool of event volunteers and helpers that work with specific teams for things such as Education and Resources and Fundraising. Email info@q-pah.org or reach out on our social media channels if you’d like to get more involved.

I am not in Brisbane. Are there Q-PAH events in other areas of Queensland?

Watch this space. Q-PAH is looking to expand its official events and connections beyond the greater Brisbane area, and much work is being done behind the scenes to make it happen. We encourage pups and Handlers in other parts of Queensland to connect and host their own events while we explore the logistics of this expansion - and definitely share your experiences across our social pages.

What is the best way to make my voice in the Community heard?

The first step is becoming a member. Membership comes with voting rights, which is one of the most effective ways of influencing the future of the club. Other ways are to get involved with the volunteer pool, go for a Committee position, and attend events regularly. However, we recognise this isn’t always easy, or accessible to all. If you need to voice a concern or have an idea, we welcome you to email info@q-pah.org and our Committee will formally review it and respond. This is your club, so we definitely want what we do to be as representative of the Members as we possibly can.

I am a member of an interstate/international PAH. Are their reciprocal benefits?

There are no defined reciprocal benefit agreements with other interstate or international PAHs, however anyone from the pup and handler community is welcome to take part in our in person and online interactions.

I am a member of BootCo/Brisbane Leather Pride. Are there reciprocal benefits?

Members of Q-PAH are entitled to discounted entry to BootCo events
